Hypnotherapists in Nottingham
As a well-established and qualified hypnotherapist in Nottingham I offer 20 years’ experience in working with hypnosis to help people overcome their challenges. I specialise in anxiety, stop smoking, stress management, phobias and pain management, and deal with many other challenges. If you’d like help with this (and particularly if you’d like to be free from thought patterns that hold you back or interfere with your life), then get in touch.
I am a friendly, professionally registered, and insured hypnotherapist. I am an independent, so when you make a booking you know it will be me who you will be seeing, and not someone relatively new to hypnotherapy. In addition, my location is discreet, a short drive away from the centre of Nottingham.

Hello, I am Alison Goodall and during my 20 years of hypnotherapeutic practice I have helped people through this, and the use of a variety of other well-recognised techniques within my work (CBT, NLP, counselling, metaphor work etc), and from knowledge gained through reading, research and life experience. For example, my specific interest in the important modern field of neuroplasticity has hugely informed and improved my clients understanding and ensuing success rates. Everyone I see is different, and I tailor my approach to each person’s needs and provide the most likely remedy (or blend of approaches), for their situation.
Why not take the first step in improving your life? There’s no charge for an initial discussion and I’d be glad to help.

Hypnotherapy as a Tool for Improving Your Life
Hypnotherapy is the treatment of a symptom, negative emotion, pain, or addiction by means of hypnotism, which is also known as hypnosis. This can work for most people – though not everybody – and can be a very useful way of managing a troublesome issue. It is a medically recognised treatment and not to be confused with the sort of show-ground tricks sometimes seen on TV. Hypnosis does not work if you do not want to be hypnotised, or have resistance to being helped.
Hypnosis, also referred to as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration. Hypnosis is usually done with the help of a qualified hypnotherapist using carefully crafted wording, metaphor and visualisation. When you are under hypnosis, you usually feel very calm and relaxed, and are more open to suggestions.
Hypnosis can be used to help you gain control over undesired behaviours or emotions, or to help you cope better with anxiety or pain. It’s important to know that although you’re more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you do not lose control over your behaviour.
